Cross Stitch: A Dollhouse

This dollhouse pattern is a treasure. Small but full of details, every single cross stitch and back stitch are meaningful. And because suddenly I only had half my time to make cross stitch, I spent 2 months to make it, rather than my one month target. Here are my day to day progress:

8 Oct 2014: first day of the project. I use erasable pen to make 10x10 grid, to ease the counting

11 Oct 2014: three days later, finished all the brownish part

13 Oct 2014: day 5, finished the yellowish stitches, and half the red part

16 Oct 2014: day 8, the progress seems fast. finished the red and the greenish part

21 Oct 2014:day 13. with the pinkish stitches, this project started to take its shape

25 Oct 2014: day 17, finished the blueish part. now I can see the curtains :)

15 Nov 2014: day 38, the progress is sooooo slow. I was getting frustrated for not having  enough time to stitch. But finally I finished all the stitches!

26 Nov 2014: day 49, I HATE DOING BACKSTITCH!! It took me 11 days just to do it. But then it's worth it. With the backstitch, the contents of this dollhouse are more visible, for example the washbasin, the mirrors, and the lamps.

28 Nov 2014: day 51, I soaked the finished cross stitch in warm water to remove the grids. Gorgeous!

03 Dec 2014: day 56. Framed. And perfect!!

Cross Stitch: A Basket of Flower

I love flowers, especially basket/bouquet of flowers. And I just finished this design in 4 months 2 days, just a couple of days late from my 4 months target, an improvement for my target accuracy :)

With 40x40 cm dimension, DMC colors thread in white aida cloth, it's so beautiful and I love it!

month 1: the progress seemed so slow, I started doubting my target

month 2: running smoothly, ready to embrace 3rd page, the gradation of pink flower is so beautiful!

month 3: found out  it was the basket which needed extra time

month 4 + day 2: finally done, just realized the flowers are different from each other.
month 4 + day 6: framed! so thrilled!

Masterpiece

So.. this is my first large-completed-cross stitch. It's about 80x50 cm and took me 6 months to complete it. The material is from wool thread and cloth. Actually it's not my own choice, but my husband's. When we looked through an online cross stitch store, my husband suddenly picked this picture and said: "It's going to be a masterpiece". And this is it now: hanging on the wall of our living room. And after some other completed cross stitches, my husband still regard this one as "my masterpiece" (although he only did the choosing :P)

Right now I'm working on another scenery picked by my husband, and this time I'm using a DMC tread. Sometimes with DMC thread, my patient are worn out. For me, wool thread is always easier, and the result is much bigger :)) the problem is, people seldom using wool thread anymore, so it's a bit hard to find a nice picture or pattern :(

Well then, will update more pictures of my cross stitch when I got chance :)

I love you cross stitch :)

Whuah.. seneng banget lihat hasilnya. Lucuu... jadi pengen bikin lagi.

I love you cross stitch, I really do!!

Gue banget

Begitu lihat pola cross stitch ini pas googling free pattern, aku langsung jatuh cinta n bilang: gue bangeeeet!

Ukurannya kecil, sekitar 25x25 cm, jadi dengan semangatnya aku pasang target 1 minggu.

Ternyata molor jadi 3 minggu karena terbosan-bosan ngristik bagian putihnya :(

Tapi dengan semangat "the diet begins tomorrow" jadi juga akhirnya^_^

Ngaffandi

Karya suamiku.

Crazy bout Cross stitching

Aku baru semangat lagi beberapa waktu lalu. Dan jadilah kristik "Masjid Biru" di atas.

Aku mendapatkan polanya dari buku Orchid. Warna asli masjid ini sebenarnya kuning, tapi kurasa kalau kuning terlalu gersang. Jadilah biru. Dan menurutku sangat bagus. Saking senangnya aku sampai meloncat-loncat :)

Ok then, I'm working on my other cross-stitch project right now. Will show you when it's done.
